Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

A24 has done it again, a black comedy horror is their latest release and they hit the jackpot. Bodies Bodies Bodies is the type of film that you must watch with your group of friends. Not because it will scare you and you will need support, but for how much fun you’re going to have. It’s an enjoyable funny black comedy horror that you don’t want to miss, especially if you’re a Gen Z. Bodies Bodies Bodies is now available on theaters.

A party game leads to murder when young and wealthy friends gather at a remote family mansion.

Official plot

The cast includes: Amanda Stenberg (The Hate U Give) as Sophie, Maria Bakalova (The Bubble) as Bee, Rachel Sennott (Shiva Baby) as Alice, Chase Sui Wonders (Wake) as Emma, Pete Davidson (Saturday Night Live) as David, Myha’lam Herrold (Industry) as Jordan, and Lee Pace (Guardians of the Galaxy) as Greg. The film is directed by Halina Reijn (Red Light) and written by Sarah DeLappe and Kristen Roupenian.

My opinion

From the trailer alone you know what to expect from this film, and it didn’t disappoint. A party on a mansion during a hurricane can sound dangerous or fun, depending on how you define having a good time. But, the dangerous factor is closer that what appears as a killer infiltrates into the party leaving this group of friends in the dark with trust issues and the obligation to confess their secrets.

The plot twist at the ending is one that is not predictable since this type of situations in films will mostly end with the killer’s revelation and speech of what motivated the killing spree. Here, that doesn’t precisely happens as the revelation of the killer is a different kind. Just as an advice, the next time that you’re on a house party with your friends don’t play Bodies Bodies Bodies if you want to keep them. Play UNO instead, is most likely to still be friends after playing it than playing a game with a killer involved.
