American Horror Story Season 10 Episode 1 and 2 spoiler free review

The horror is back in town on a double feature with a lot of familiar faces. American Horror Story Season 10 is coming every Wednesday at the 10pm on Fx and the next day on Fx on Hulu. This season will split on two horrifying stories…one by the sand and one by the sea where aliens and sirens will collide.

Red Tide by the sea

A struggling writer, his pregnant wife, and their daughter move to an isolated beach town for the winter. Once they’re settled in, the town’s true residents begin to make themselves known.

Official plot EP 1: Cape Fear

A quick fix for Harry’s writer’s block has unexpected side effects. Two eccentric locals offer Harry a helping hand.

Official plot EP 2: Pale

My opinion

Just like any other first episode on American Horror Story this first episode titled Cape Fear makes the introduction to some of the characters that will be seeing on this first part of the 10th season. Usually those initial 5 minutes are a quick view of what we can expect of the season but on this one starts way more calm than the others. The plot isn’t complicated and while is not predictable it manages to not gave too much yet.

Episode 2 Pale starts right where the first one ended but is more intense and fast paced, revealing a lot about this new town and their people. This episode has many references to The Shining and a little of Jaws. Until now only vampire alike creatures has been feature, and since aliens will be in part 2 we will have to wait to see when and how sirens will come in to Red Tide.
