Godzilla vs Kong (2021) official plot
Movie Review
With almost 2 hours length Godzilla vs Kong brings the final battle between the last two monsters standing. The intro shows a back story for both of them including their ancient rivalry. Quickly the movie shows Godzilla attacking a technology company just because, but a few minutes later we see that he was trigger for a new classified technology.
Kong, on the other hand, it has been keep on a Skull Island simulator. Taking him out will mean the beginning of the fight between him and Godzilla. And that’s exactly what happened. Kong has to been taken out and by the first 30 minutes of the movie their fighting.
Their second and final fight takes place in Hong Kong because Godzilla is already there looking for the classified technology that has been moved to the city. They fight, destroying the city, and that’s when we have an ultimate winner.
Who wins?
It was promise that the film will have a final winner and it did. The winner of this fight is no other than Godzilla. He takes Kong down pretty easy, not a surprise at all, but doesn’t kill him. He forgives his live but soon a surprise appears, Mechagodzilla is alive! The classified technology was what was needed to activate him. In this version his a human creation so the earth could have their own monster. Godzilla starts fighting him but he is about to be defeated when suddenly Kong appears and helps him and between them they defeat Mechagodzilla. After that they go separate ways, giving the idea that they respect each other.
The film gives a great fight between this monsters. The animation of both monsters is able to make them show emotions with just their eyes and facial expressions. Giving them the chance to connect with the viewer and become the real protagonist of the movie. Humans on the other hand come as secondary, as is supposed to be on a monster movie. Great special effects but predictable plot. That’s the only flaw of the movie, the rest is perfect. Watch Godzilla vs Kong in movie theaters and HBO Max.
