Remembering horror icon Vincent Price 27 year later

A day like today, 27 years ago, the icon of terror Vincent Price passed away. It is mainly known for its broad participation in low-budget horror films (class B). Throughout his career, which extends to drama, triller and comedy, he shot more than 100 films.

His first participation in terror cinema was in the film “Tower of London” in 1939 with Boris Karloff, who played Frankenstein’s monster in 1931. The first 3D horror film “House of Wax” was launched in 1953.

It was characterized by its gestures, arched eyebrows and voice that managed to put the hair on the tip. He gave his voice for narratives, such as Alice Cooper’s album “Welcome to my Nightmare”, the short film by Tim Burton “Vincent” from 1982 which is a tribute to the actor and in the song “Thriller” by Michael Jackson. His last role was Edward’s inventor in Tim Burton’s “Edward Scissorhands” (1990). The actor had been suffering from emphysema and Parkinson since the late 1980s.

It died of lung cancer at age 82 due to its addition to tobacco.
