Best & Worst Horror Movies of 2020: Rotten Tomatoes

Hello Horror Freaks! 2020 is has been a hard year and sadly many horror movies were pushed back to 2021 but we still got the chance to see some new horror this year. Today I bring you a list of the best and worst films of 2020 using Rotten Tomatoes rates and my personal opinion. I made a video about this on my Youtube channel, video down below!

The movies will be listed from the worst to the best

Fantasy Island (7%)

Plot: The enigmatic Mr Roarke makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort, but when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives.

Brahms: The Boy 2 (9%)

Plot: When a young family moves to the Heelshire’s residence, terror strikes when a boy from the family discovers a doll called Brahms that appears to be eerily human.

The Grudge (20%)

Plot: A detective investigates a murder scene that has a connection to a case that her new partner handled in the past. The killings occurred in a haunted house that passes on a ghostly curse to those who dare enter it. Soon, the curse spreads to a terminally ill woman and her husband, and another unsuspecting couple who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Antebellum (28%)

Plot: Successful author Veronica Henley is finishing a book tour before she returns home to her husband and daughter. But a shocking turn of events is about to upend Veronica’s existence, plunging her into a horrifying reality that forces her to confront her past, present and future before it’s too late.

The New Mutants (33%)

Plot: Five teenage mutants, Mirage, Wolfsbane, Cannonball, Sunspot and Magik, undergo treatments at a secret institution that will cure them of their dangerous powers. Invited by Dr. Cecilia Reyes to share their stories, their memories soon turn into terrifying realities as they start to question why they’re being held and who’s trying to destroy them.

The Babysitter: Killer Queen (48%)

Plot: Two years after defeating a satanic cult led by his babysitter Bee, Cole once again has to outsmart the forces of evil when old enemies unexpectedly return.

Underwater (48%)

Plot: Disaster strikes more than six miles below the ocean surface when water crashes through the walls of a drilling station. Led by their captain, the survivors realize that their only hope is to walk across the sea floor to reach the main part of the facility. But they soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when they come under attack from mysterious and deadly creatures that no one has ever seen.

Gretel & Hansel (66%)

Plot: When their mother descends into madness, siblings Gretel and Hansel must fend for themselves in the dark and unforgiving woods. Hungry and scared, they fortuitously stumble upon a bounty of food left outside an isolated home. Invited inside by the seemingly friendly owner, the children soon suspect that her generous but mysterious behavior is part of a sinister plan to do them harm.

Deep Blue Sea 3 (69%)

Plot: Dr. Emma Collins and her team are spending their third summer on the island of Little Happy studying the effect of climate change on the great white sharks who come to the nearby nursery every year to give birth. However, their peaceful life is disrupted when a “scientific” team shows up looking for three bull sharks.

The Invisible Man (91%)

Plot: After staging his own suicide, a crazed scientist uses his power to become invisible to stalk and terrorize his ex-girlfriend. When the police refuse to believe her story, she decides to take matters into her own hands and fight back.

Host (100%)

Post: Six friends accidentally invite the attention of a demonic presence during an online séance and begin noticing strange occurrences in their homes.
