Fear Street Part 3: 1666 spoiler free review

The conclusion of the curse of Sarah Fier is finally here! Fear Street Part Three: 1666 is available on Netflix answering all the questions that the first two parts left.

My opinion

1 hour and 54 minutes where more than enough to end the Sarah Fier curse in Shadyside. Or with was really her fault? The first hour of the film shows how everything actually happened and starts right where Fear Street Part Two:1978 ended. Then it becomes the part 2 of Fear Street Part One: 1994.

The costumes, setting, and soundtrack is brilliant. It captures the folklore and life style of the 17th century, especially the irrational fear to the devil. While we don’t really see the real Sarah Fier, as is portrayed by the same actress as Denna most of the time, it makes you feel sorry for what happens to her. The end of her life is an emotional scene that captures perfectly all of the emotions of the character, including her.

The film is able to answer all the questions and gives a face to the evil that haunts Shadyside, a plot twist that you don’t see coming. But don’t leave so soon, there’s a surprise as the end credits play. The Fear Street Trilogy was able to bring back elements that we have seen before and make it work, it felt like a tribute to classic horror. Is one of the best things that has come out this year, no doubt of that.
