Final Destination: Bloodlines, the return of the franchise to the big screen after 14 years of waiting, feels both like a natural progression for the series and a standalone experience. The sixth installment of the franchise proves to be a fun and entertaining watch.

One of the film’s strongest suits lies in its reinvention of the initial premonition concept, bringing a fresh perspective to the familiar setup. This installment introduces likable characters, making it harder not to root for them when death is coming for them. The film wouldn’t be complete without the expected creative and over-the-top deaths that didn’t disappoint. If there’s one minor stumble, it’s the occasionally noticeable CGI, which at times could have been more polished. However, this doesn’t significantly detract from the overall enjoyment.

Final Destination: Bloodlines also feels like a bittersweet goodbye to the iconic actor Tony Todd, who passed away back in November 2024. While his presence is short, it carries a weight that resonates with fans of the series, giving us the goodbye we didn’t know we needed.

Ultimately, Final Destination: Bloodlines is absolutely worth watching. It successfully references previous installments without relying on fan service, offering a satisfying blend of the old and the new. If you’re looking for a thrilling horror flick with inventive kills, then make sure Bloodlines is on your list.

Final Destination: Bloodlines is now available in theaters.
