Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Who you gonna call? The Ghostbusters are back to save the world. 30 years after Ghostbusters 2 (1989) this film will show what the original team has been up to and new additions that want to help. The movie is dedicated to Harold Ramis, who died in 2014 and played Dr. Egon Spengler.

When a single mother and her two children move to a new city, they soon discover that they have a connection with the original Ghostbusters and their grandfather’s secret legacy.

My opinion

Funny, nostalgic, and fresh are the first words that come to my mind if I have to describe this film in 3 words. It has the perfect combination of comedy and supernatural having all the vibes of the first ones. Ghostbusters: Afterlife is the third of the franchise, ignoring the events of the reboot of 2016.

Of course, this new installment couldn’t be complete without the appearance of the original cast. Their cameos are full of nostalgic memories without loosing their magic. Even a tribute to the fourth member Dr. Egon Spengler is present on the film.

This is family horror in all of his glory. If you grow up with the Ghostbusters this is a perfect opportunity to bring your kids and introduce them to the franchise. All the new characters are relatable, enjoyable, and funny on their own way.

This is a 4.5/5 or a 9/10. This is in my opinion one of the best movies of the year.
