Godzilla vs Kong: Who is going to win?
Since the release of the trailer of Godzilla vs Kong the internet went crazy. Many debates of in which side you should be and who is goin to win as been going on. On this post I will give you who I think will win and why. Talking about abilities and what have we have seen in previous movies about this iconic monsters.
Both Kong and Godzilla are part of the horror genre. The first King Kong film, released on 1933, is ranked as one of the best horror movie of all time. Godzilla first film was released on 1954 being a Japanese kaiju film. Both monsters became pop culture icons and had their first encounter on 1962.
Abilities
Kong: Giant ape, physical strength, human intelligence, lightning power (some versions)
Godzilla: Atomic breath, immune to conventional weapons, ability to regenerate, can only be destroyed by nuclear weapons,
Going by only the abilities Godzilla seems as the defeater by choice but they’re many other elements to keep on mind. First their abilities can vary from version to version and is not 100% confirm which version of each monster we’re going to be seeing. Secondly there’s the possibility of an alliance. On the trailer there’s a quick glance of what looks like Mechagodzilla, an extraterrestrial villain of Godzilla. If this third monster appears could mean the alliance of Kong and Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla and not Kong vs Godzilla as the trailer and movie title is making us think. If this still doesn’t happen, who will win? I see Kong as the winner. Why? Simply because he’s “the good guy” and is brought to fight and save the earth from Godzilla. A little cliché but is a huge possibility plus the fact that Kong already defeated Godzilla on the film of 1962.
