Halloween Kills (2021) spoiler free review

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Evil dies tonight! The highly expected return of the boogeyman of Haddonfield is here with a lot of blood and bodies. Halloween Kills is the direct sequel of Halloween (2018) and the twelve film of the franchise.

The saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode continues in the next thrilling chapter of the Halloween series.

Official plot

My opinion

1 hour and 45 minutes of pure horror and high tension. Halloween Kills starts right where Halloween (2018) ended continuing the nightmare that Laurie and her family are living again with the return of Michael.

The film divides intro 3 subplots that includes flashbacks scenes of the Halloween night of 1978. Those scenes felt like they were part of the original film from the very beginning, it captured the 70s aesthetic really well.

Just like the trailer showed Michael goes on a killing spree increasing his body count. Creative ways of killing and a lot of gore is showed so be prepared if you have a weak stomach. Jamie Lee Curtis does an amazing job bringing Laurie Strode once again.

Halloween Kills is a roller coaster of emotions with some references of previous film and a metaphor of who is really Michael. If you have a soft spot for him you will feel sorry for him. The film is able to bring back Michael Myers once again and leaves you on the expectation of Halloween Ends that will be hitting theaters next year. This is a 8/10 and a really good sequel.
