Hocus Pocus is having a sequel
The Halloween classic Hocus Pocus is having a sequel set to premiere on Disney+ on September 30, 2022. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Doug Jones will return. The official poster and teaser trailer were released on June 28, 2022

Two scenes from Orphan: First Kill leaked on Twitter
The highly anticipated prequel of Orphan (2009) can be closer than expected. On June 28, 2022 two clips from the film leaked on Twitter giving accidentally the first look of the film. The same day rumors about the release date started to surface.
The first clip showed Esther/Leena alone at night on a swing in park with a Russian police officer approaching her. He asks her about her parents and she stops swinging ending the clip. The second shows a front show of Fuhrman as Esther/Leena is the front of a house as some teenagers make fun of her.
According to the rumors the film is expected to be released on September 1, 2022 on Paramount+ with the official trailer and poster being released on July 2022. While non of this information is official it looks like the film is closer to be released than ever.
Terrifier 2 will premiere on October 2022
After years of waiting Terrifier 2 will be finally released thanks to Bloody Disgusting. The horror website acquired the distribution rights on June 30, 2022. It will premiere on their streaming platform ScreamboxTV and a limited release on theaters. The release date is yet to be announced.
After being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to the timid town of Miles County where he targets a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night.

Rob Zombie is making a The Munsters film
Rob Zombie wrote and directed The Munsters film reboot set to premiere at the end of 2022. Filmed in Budapest production ended on July 7, 2022. This will be the first film of Zombie that will not be rated R.
The reboot will be in color starting Jeff Daniel Phillips, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Daniel Roebuck as Herman, Lily, and Grampa Munster. A 52 seconds teaser trailer dropped on June 8 with the official poster dropping on July 6.

Supernatural is having a prequel series
On July 5, 2022 the upcoming Supernatural prequel The Winchesters had set an official release date. Coming to The CW on October 11, 2022 the series will start Drake Rodger as John Winchester and Meg Donnelly as Mary Campbell.

Glen/Glenda will appear on Chucky Season 2
On June 28, 2022 on Syfy’s Instagram account it was announced that Chucky and Tiffany’s son Glen/Glenda will appear on the second season of the Chucky series. The character will be portrayed by Lachlan Watson who appeared on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as Theo/Susie Putnam. The series is set to premiere on Fall 2022.
Uzumaki anime delayed until 2023
The anime adaptation of the horror manga by Junji Ito has been delayed after being expected to be released on Fall 2022. The delay was confirmed to be caused by production issues with the animation.
Scream 6 will take place in New York
The highly anticipated Scream sequel will not take place in Woodsboro but rather it will take place in New York. This makes Scream 6 the third film of the franchise to be outside of Woodsboro and the first one without Sidney Prescott.
Neve Campbell confirmed that she will not be returning after salary issues. Scream 5 survivors will return next to the fan favorite Kirby Reed portrayed by Hayden Panettiere. The character’s survival was confirmed in Scream 5.
Rumors of a theater scene similar to Scream 2 opening scene has surfaced after pictures of the set appeared on Twitter on July 7, 2022. This pictures aren’t confirmed as real. Scream 6 is set to premiere on March 31, 2023.
