Netflix Fear Street horror trilogy trailer, release date and more

Summer horror has arrive! Fear Street is an upcoming horror trilogy based on the book series of the same name of R. L. Stine. This 3 films will be released on Netflix on July 2, July 9, and July 16.

FEAR STREET BOOK SERIES

Starting on 1989 to the present R. L. Stine has wrote the teenage horror fiction series Fear Street. He stopped on 1999 but brought it back in October 2014. Over 80 million copies has been sold as of 2010. On 2015 it was announced that a film adaptation would be done by 20th Century Fox. By February 2019 it was confirmed that the adaptation would be a trilogy. Filming began on March 2019 and ended on September 2019.

Netflix adaptation

On August 11, 2020 Netflix acquired the trilogy keeping the original strategy of releasing one part per month. On May 19, 2021 Netflix announced that instead of being one part per month it would be one per week. Giving the official release dates as July 2, July 9, and July 16.

Each film has an unique horror sub genre classification. Fear Street Part One: 1994 is classified as teen horror while Fear Street Part Two: 1978 is classified as American slasher and Fear Street Part Three: 1666 is classified as supernatural horror. All three films are directed by Leigh Janiak.
