Orphan: First Kill: Isabelle Fuhrman returns as Esther
Something is still wrong with Esther. Horror freaks I have breaking news: Isabelle Fuhrman is reprising her role as Esther/Leena in Orphan: First Kill, a prequel of Orphan (2009). What started as a rumor now is a reality; Orphan is having a prequel. Despite the mixed reviews that the film has for many years fans have been waiting for this moment.
It’s common to find fan-art posters about a sequel and even fan trailers in YouTube. But less be real, a direct sequel would just make sense if they used the “alternate ending” that is featured on the DVD.
In this ending Leena never makes it to the lake. Instead she becomes Esther again, covering her scars and wearing her clothes, and encounters the police that is entering the house. She does her good girl act while having her face full of cuts from the glass where she felt on. This is a more open ending than the original and using it could have opened the possibility of a sequel.
On November 3rd, 2020 Isabelle Fuhrman posted on her Instagram a post of a Variety article confirming that she will be returning as Esther. The biggest concern is the fact that she’s 23 and needs to portrait a nine year old girl. It was stated that the production will use advanced technology and makeup to do the trick. In Orphan: First Kill, written by David Coggeshall, Leena Klammer orchestrates a brilliant escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility and travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. But Leena’s new life as “Esther” comes with an unexpected wrinkle and pits her against a mother who will protect her family at any cost.
Oficial plot of Orphan: First Kill
The only things that we know for now is that Isabelle is returning, the oficial name of the film , that Dark Castle Entertainment is going to produce it, Julia Stiles is a confirmed cast member and the plot. Are you excited about this? Because I am and can’t wait to see it!
