Orphan: First Kill (2022) release date & updates

And now the film is closer than ever. Just this week on July 13, 2022 the official trailer and poster were released. It was also announced the official release date that is August 19, 2022. The film will be available in select theaters and Paramount+.

Esther’s terrifying saga continues in this thrilling prequel to the original and shocking horror hit, Orphan. After orchestrating a brilliant escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility, Esther travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. Yet, an unexpected twist arises that pits her against a mother who will protect her family from the murderous “child” at any cost.

The cast includes Julia Stiles, Allen Albright, and Hiro Kanagawa. The film is directed by William Brent Bell, the director of Stay Alive (2006), The Devil Inside (2012), The Boy (2016), and many more horror movies.

After 13 years of waiting another Orphan film is just one month away. The biggest concern is the fact that Fuhrman is 25 and needs to portrait a nine year old girl. It was stated that the production will use advanced technology, a body double, and makeup to do the trick. The released trailer proves that the production and makeup department did the job right.
