The mayor difference between this film and the original is the location and the characters. Without being an actual remake this movie tries to bring back the concept of a psychopath killer with a drill.
Starting on 1993 with the massacre of a group of girls in a slumber party, not obvious at all, on a cabin in the woods with only one survivor. On present day the protagonists of the movie will have a slumber party on the same cabin. But, can a psychopath can still be out there almost 30 years later?
Having some changes on the story, this film felt more like a comedy horror rather than a slasher. Not something that everyone likes, including me. I’m not the biggest fan of comedy horror so that make me not like the movie that much.
With a plot twist almost at the end the film is able to entertain but that’s it. Is predictable and not a good movie in general. But of course, that won’t stop people from watching it. When it comes to me, watching it one time was enough.
